go back and forth b/n the two stages and still have reasonable seats? or is it
a huge place?
should i get there really early to get in front for ig?  etc etc...
you can email me privately
thanks,

hi everyone,
this is one of my favourite songs too.  in most cases i'm an amy fan - i
love how she rocks and how low she can sing.  but you just can't go past
emily's poetry.
i continually debate with myself about whether emily is singing to
herself or to a past love.  first i thought it was the later, then the
former, now i'm just confused - i think i'm going to have to and listen
to this again.
any other theories??
take care

i'm not sure who she's singing to, but my assumption has been that she is
singing to a good friend (that's the way i have interepreted it, because it
was very fitting at that point in my life when i got rop).  all i
definitely know is that when i heard it live in november i was bawling, it
was so beautiful!

actually, doesn't she say on a boot somewhere (if my organizational skills were
better i could give y'all a date) that she wrote it after meeting someone at a
bar whose story left such an impression on her that it was the inspiration for
the song.  did i dream that?

per the request:

love will come to you

guess i wasn't the best one to ask
me myself with my face pressed
up against love's glass
to see the shiny toy i've been hoping for
the one i never could afford
the wide world spins and spits turmoil
and the nations toil for peace
but the paws of fear upon your chest
only love can soothe that beast
and my words are paper tigers
no match for the predators of pain inside her

i say love will come to you
hoping just because i spoke the words that they're true
as if i offered up a crystal ball to look through
where there's now one there will be two

i was born under the sign of cancer
(love will come to you)
like brushing cloth i smooth the wrinkles for an answer
(love will come)
i'm always closing my eyes and wishing i'm fine
(i close my eyes and wish you fine)
even though i know i'm not this time
(even though i know your not this time)

i say love will come to you
hoping just because i spoke the words that they're true
as if i offered up a crystal ball to look through
where there's now one there will be two

dodging your memories a field of knives
always on the outside looking in on other's lives

i say love will come to you
hoping just because i spoke the words that they're true
as if i offered up a crystal ball to look through
(i have offered up to you)
where there's now one there will be two

and i wish her insight to battle love's blindness
strength from the milk of human kindness
a safe place for all the pieces that scattered
learn to pretend there's more than love that matters

emily's intro to "love will come to you" (provincetown, ma 7/28/91) taken from
the compilaton these songs (revised)/it feels so funny to be pre which was
lovingly put together by wendell:

"okay.  this is a song.  it's a true story.  i was someplace recently and um, i
met this person and she had her heart broken...no, not by me.  i just met her,
you know.  anyway, what do you say to someone whose heart has been broken?  and
that person feels like she's never gonna get kissed (?) again.  this song is
about that.  oh my god."

added verse:

i close my eyes and wish you fine
even though i know you're not this time...

cause you dream about a place
where you can't feel the pain
you're holding on to god and
swinging by a tiny string

dodging memories...

not really an entire extra verse.  just one more time around with the pattern
before she falls back into the chorus.  hope that helps a bit...

whoa...members of u2 and rem did "one" (i believe michael stipe had
vocals) under the moniker "automatic baby"...
imagine, three way vocals -- amy / bono / stipe, and they'd have to
take a long instrumental break so emily could jam with edge and peter
buck...  that would be as cool as the jam on gary "us" bond's "new
orleans" from the new blues bros movie...

i don't know if you got my first message, cause i just
subscribed to the list, but i was wondering if anyone had
extra tickets to the sold out show at the 9:30 club in dc.
it is a benefit for the national gay and lesbian task

now the tickets are sold out.  e-mail me back if you have
any info (kmj5m@virginia.edu).  sorry to stop the bootleg

well... i'm quite new to this list and this is my 1st post so... excuse all errors!

i'm french and we don't get any ig on radio or tv... we can't even buy cds without the net. so the 1st time i heard and saw them was in boys in the side.

i've been playing guitar and singing a capella with my sis for a looong time and i can't tell you what i felt when i heard joking and southland in the springtime in the movie... i was like... hey! wait a minute! two voices... two guitars...! they're sooo good... i was in heaven!

next day i brought the movie soundtrack and i heard power of two... and that was it... i bought swamp ophelia from the net and a few days later i got it ans instantly became a fan! since then, i've been buying all i can get and i even converted a few friends meanwhile ;)

what can i add? i'm hooked... great musicians, great voices, great hearts and souls!!

i remember hearing on a boot that i have (i cant remmy which one
exactly...its a radio show/interview) - but emily was talking about
this song (lwcty) - and if i remember correctly - she wrote the song
as tho she were talking to a friend...she was saying (im not
quoting...just 'interpreting' *grin*)...that sometimes ya just dont
know what to say to someone who has broken up w their significant
other...what words to use - how to help the other person feel
better...feel hopeful - lift their spirits - just make their heart
happier.  how true - it *is* tough - *i* never know what to say - but
i think this song says it all...love *will* come to you...i cant
imagine emily not knowing how/what to say...i love the message in this
song...

so thats my take - i listen to this song in that way ... emily talking
to a friend...such kind words...sometimes i need to hear this song -
her words...and it does feel as tho its a message to a friend...

take care -

wooo!  watched it for the first time last night.. found it very amusing how ig
isnt mentioned in the little movie summary on the back, but they play the
biggest part, musician wise....  hehe, think it was just meant to be a little
suuuuurrrprise!  well,  it certainly was.  for those of you who havent seen
it, it's an awesome movie.. and ig sings for a few minutes...  power of two,
joking, and southland in the springtime...

later~

p.s.  did you guys notice on that part close to the end when whoopi is playing
piano, the camera is moving slowly around the silent room, and amy ray get's a

<<emily's intro to "love will come to you" (provincetown, ma 7/28/91)>>

does anyone have a tape of the full show from provincetown???  one my most
memorable ig moments took place there, and i'd love to have a tape of them
performing there... if you could help me out, i would be forever in debt!
thanks!

hkf's,

a little random ques.  but i'm listening to the toni childs cd union that i
got from a friend - first time i've heard her.  it seems like she's been
around and i've heard of her before.  i was hoping someone could tell me a
little about her - albums, history...etc.  and also if she ever worked with ig
at all as far as concerts/studio/benefits or whatever...

thanks,

i disagree completely, i thought there was a lot of great info... amy talks
about:

        touring outside the us
        favorite places to tour
an upcoming documentary on the hte tour
the meaning of dgtgag (more than i knew before)
floc, a benefit they'll be playing for migrant farmers
        a zapatista benefit
all of the guests at the la show and how it came about

i thought it was great.  the author clearly was a fan and asked some great
questions.  well worth seeking out. my barnes & noble doesn't have it, but
borders does.  and of course your local queer bookstore would stock it.
hurry, it's the july 12 issue.  you can order it from
http://www.lesbiannews.com if you missed it or can't find it.

oh, and the interview segment that is on the ln site is *additional*, not
an excerpt from the one in the mag.

interntational sessions etc...that emily commented on this song.  the
interview dude asked her what it was about and she said.."this is
something that i would sing for someone whose heart has been broken."
hmm...so, it could be anyone.  this song actually seems very
therapeutic.  i'm thinking she probably wrote it for herself...you know
how it is...emily and her giving nature.  she's gonna take her pain and
try to heal the world. :)  she rocks....

take care,

greetings all

i'm new to this list and i read in faq about the must have bootlegs and i'm looking for "blue food '85" and "color me gray 82/85."  i dont have a whole lot, but i have a 90 min boot from las cruces, nm 8/24/96, including emily's winthrop (on piano, supposedly going to be on shamming of the sun but...??) and amy's chiapas bound (also under consideration for sots). i also have a 90 min boot of "tuesday's children/strange fire rehearsal (live from amy's basement)"....i'm not sure if this is the same "tuesday's children '81" that is in the faq but it includes:

a
carolina in my mind
come down in time
dancing shoes
danny's song
father and son
you've got a friend
her town too
junkie's lament
back together again
long ago, far away

tuesday's children

+high horse

strangefire part one
strangefire part two
???

if you're interested mail me....

my theory here is that there are too many photos per page. if i were the
person posting these pics on the web, i would create a separate page for
each of them. and please, could you post the url of the actual b day card
and not to the main page?  i didn't want to sit through a five/ten minute
load to find out that the card wasn't on that page anyway, then have to
scroll down, find the small link, and do it again. i do like to look at
people's web pages...when i have the time.   anyway, sorry this is posted
to the list, but i don't have the address of the person who posted the card
up, and this isn't meant to be a flame either.
peace,

yeah, i have the cd, if you mean the levi's new music sampler. it's really

no indigo girls, but i know some of you may want it anyway-- there is a new
limited edition cd benefit out there. it is called wxrv presents live for the
river music hall v.1. & it is a benefit for rainn. it has live tracks by ani
(in or out)(a great version imho), tori (marianne), jonatha brooke (crumbs),
suzanne vega (stockings), matthew sweet(where you get love), willy porter
(roadbone) & other good people. all proceeds benefit rainn & it is a limited
pressing of 10,000. i know you can get it from the label eastern front, & if
you live in the dc metro area-- the fabulous independent chain olsson's books
& records has plenty. (full disclosure: i work there) i am enjoying it greatly
& it is for a good cause! get one!

ciao,

finally some published info about tkt sales!!  i got this from the chicago
reader on-line early warnings website
(http://www.chireader.com/music/early.html):

suffragette sessions tour with amy ray & emily sailers, ann wilson, gail ann
dorsey, lisa germano, lourdes perez, kate schellenback, jane siberry, jean
smith, josephine whiggs, thalia zedek
riviera, 8/25-26; all-ages shows on sale 10 am saturday

that's all it says; i assume tkts will only be on sale thru ticketmaster for
now. as the ans. machine at the riv said, you can only buy tkts at the door
on the day of the show.

the last time i checked, ticketmaster hadn't yet put the shows on their
website...but the chicago reader entry definitely gives me hope!!!!

yippee!

i got one... but quickly found a poor lost soul without one and gave it to
them, because i've yet to listen to my "music for the ride" tape fully from
last year, and alas, no pockets big enough for a cd. hehehe. but i managed to
pick one up at the second lilith i went to, but left it in a friend's bag.  i
think it's coming in the mail. hehehe. but no big loss.  if you're
wondering--- it's mainly village stage artists with one or two second stage
artists on it. (:

if you want one-- i'll send you mine when i get it back.

i've always thought she was saying, "i'm gonna try my very best to give you
advice, help you through this and regain faith, but maybe i'm not exactly the
best person to ask because i'm sort of in the same situation myself..."  just
my take... right now this is my song- so appropriate, so me!  and she could be
speaking to someone who's relationship has come to an end, but i've always
interpreted it as someone who was afraid to let themselves love or had simply
never been lucky enough to encounter love.

<<emily and her giving nature.  she's gonna take her pain and
try to heal the world. :)  she rocks....>>

well said!

this is one of the best ideas i have heard in a long time.  michael's voice
sounds great with both of the girls', and i am sure bono's would fit just as
well!  as for ig content, directly that is, in my way too much spare time that
i had today i was watching the game show debt.  our girls had a question under
the category "great women groups"  or something like that.  the question was,
this "galileo" singing duo is somewhere between blue and violet.  yes, someone
did get it right.  sorry if this was mentioned before.

<<  imagine, three way vocals -- amy / bono / stipe, and they'd have to
take a long instrumental break so emily could jam with edge and peter
buck...  that would be as cool as the jam on gary "us" bond's "new
orleans" from the new blues bros movie... >>

just heard from a source that there are a couple cd's out there somewhere
that the ig are on, yet hard to find. anyone know of these two-one is by a
group called stereo popsicle the album is called sunlight and toys on which
emily does a song called "jenny" and the other is a cd by a group called
dew and the album is entitled dangerous chinese clown in which(and get
this, speaking of covers)... amy does a cover of ted nugents' stanglehold.
anyone know of any leads to these two titles, speak up and thanks!

hey friends!!

i am going to be "kind" and volunteer to keep a log of songs we would love to
see the girls cover!

so here is what i need you to do...

1) do all of this in private email!

2) please add you name and email addy.

3) put: << ig cover list>> in the subject line on your email.

4) list your songs and the name of the folks who sing them.  if you know the
album the song came from, add that.  also, try to keep it to your top 5.  this
list is going to be long!

5) when you can, please add why you would like to here the girls cover the
song.  this is sometimes the most interesting part!

6) wait!  i will get this list done over the next month or so.  then i will
let everybody know when you can get your copy!

i hope this is fun for you!  my housemates are moving out in 2 weeks so i need
something to keep me busy and my mind off the fact that my month old godson is
leaving!

put on your thinking caps and have a ball!

>cuz [amy] said they'd listen to the pixie's doolittle..hence the
>doolittle all day????? am i just dreaming this???

does anyone have an interview or a website that actually has amy
saying that the reference to doolittle is really the pixie's
album and not really just doing little all day?

i've been listening to shame on you lately and it just doesn't seem
to make any sense.  she says "i say let's put on some tunes, sing along
and "dolittle"/"doolittle" all day" ... if it was their album, why
would say "and dolittle/doolittle".  that'd be like saying "and
tigerlily" or "and in utero".  weird.

i think it has to be talking about doing little because #1 they're
going down to the river and taking their shoes off, hence they can't
do much without having shoes and #2 it's spelled like "dolittle" in the
liner notes and #3 because the more i listen to it the more i think
i'm right. :)

hmm...how about carole king?  maybe not headlining, but probably in the

hi,
thanks to erin for scanning this card.  it was a labor of love and i'm glad
everyone can see it now.
since the details of the card don't show up on a scanner. i'll fill you all in
on some of the significant designs that were a part of the card:
the outside of the card was scanned as if you opened it up and laid it down
flat so you're seeing the front and the back at the same time (what's above
the middle fold will appear upside down)
i used stamps of hands here and there as well as a painted copy of emily's
painted hands from the cover of rop, and a hand shaped cut out of a map of the
atlanta area
i also included segments of an interview from 1988 where amy says of emily
"she dances around as much as i do"
there is also another reference to emily jumping up and down playing her
guitar.
a collaged ticket stub, a joni mitchell reference, and a "thanks y'all"
mention near a sponged on guitar shape.

on the inside of the card there are many selected lyrics coming out of a shell
on the beach.  i chose lyrics that have a universal appeal from old and new
songs.
i inscribed the following to tie in w/the gift:
"the many hearts that have been touched by your inspiring words and music
can't help but reach out to others in kind"
that's about it.  thanks for reading this far,  if you have any questions, e-
mail me.
peace
rena

i don't have a reference, but if you trust me <g> i can verify that amy
said that in an interview, and that emily thought it was funny because she
always thought it meant "do little".

i am more that ecstatic to announce that as of last week.....

shawn mullins is a columbia records recording artist!!!!!!!!
this is huge folks.  after 9 years of hard work, he has been rewarded with
an excellent recording contract from one of the biggest players in the
industry.
we are all so excited for him and his band.  the recording contract just
includes shawn, but, if all goes well, his current band will tour with him
for the forseeable future. that band includes julie clark and david
patterson (former lift)!  maybe there is divine justice in this world after
all (molly and simone who?)!
his album "soul's core" will be re-released nationally by sept. 8th with
one or two additional classic shawn songs.

the vligc....
shawn's new manager is none other than our beloved russell carter. folks,
there must be something to this guy for shawn and the girls to have him as
manager....they both are artists with vision and integrity so i don't see
them settling for a manager without the same qualities!

shawn's website is at www.shawnmullins.com
he plays the variety playhouse in atlanta august 14th.
99x just taped a livex at eddie's attic in atlanta with shawn and the
band...be listening for it.
that's it.

for those to whom sulli is still a mystery... and for those to whom she

there are photos of emily's guitar tech, ms. lisa sullivan, on the

mornin' everybody,

i've seen a couple of people requesting someone to type up the amy ray
interview in the print issue of the lesbian news, and if nobody's up
to it, i'd be willing to and can post it on my website and let the
list know when i'm done (lord knows i have tons of free time :)
unless someone else wants to do it cause that mag is an unusual size
and it'll be a challenge to take it to school w/o getting it damaged.

now, on love will come to you.  pretty song, gorgeous harmonies, i
didn't like it at first.  i guess it being this pretty song sandwiched
between jonas & ezekial & romeo & juliet didn't help any.  but i like
it now that i've listened to it more (and know the words).  my
favorite line is the last one, it's pure genious, "learn to pretend
there's more than love that matters".  that's the killer right there.
pretend.  wow  anyway.

btw, i'm sure you already know this, but thedj.com has a lilith
channel that's great, they play a lot of ig stuff, dar williams, shawn
colvin (off fat city woohoo), not to mention missy elliot queen
latifah & me'shell ndegocello (i got it right didn't i?) every half
hour.

lori ann (cursing the net congestion that doesn't let dar get out more
than two words w/o a whole lot of static in between)

from the faq, which can be found at http://www.users.fl.net.au/~sherlyn/ig/:

amy is referring to the pixies' 1989 album "doolittle" (the title is
spelled wrongly in the album lyrics).  on "world cafe" in may 1997
she explained, "['shame on you'] is about the importance of the
beauty of, like, ethnic things in our life... i was listening to the
pixies' album "doolittle" and van morrison and all these things one
day, when my friends were over.  they have a window washing company,
and they were, like, giving me a present, to wash my windows, and we
were all hanging, and it's like all of a sudden, it turned into this
song about immigration, i don't know what happened."

hey kind friends,
i heard that the girls are definitely gonna play that chiapas benefit. i have afriend in dunwoody, ga. and she was at a daemon record show at the point in atlanta last weekend and amy ray herself was there!
woohoo!!!!
not that she was eavesdropping y'all, but she said she heard a bunch of people talking to amy about the chiapas deal at eddies and the talk with cecilia rofdriguez  the next night.

please don't flame me for telling because i was on this list when i was in school and i got off it because of all the flames.

i just thought y'all who can go (lucky!!) would want to know about it.

btw, my friend got a flyer from the side of the point and it said first iconium baptist not iconian, although i don't know what either means.
if y'all get in pleaseplease please boot it so the rest of us can share in your good luck!!

i've been an eternal ig fan. i remember being in

3rd or 4th grade on the way to school listening to

either the indigo girls or edie brickell. "closer to

fine" or "secure yourself to heaven" would have to

literally be my 1st ig songs.

riding around in my sisters convertible with the top down listening
to ig was the greatest. we listened to that same tape almost everyday
until i was in 7th grade (my sister graduated from h.s.then).
later as a sophomore in high school i longed for the ig i once listen
to. i hadn't heard them in a long time. i went to tower and looked for
that tape(i had no idea there would be so many). that is when i
accidentally bought swamp ophelia and fell in love all over again.
when i heard "the wood song" it was like hearing ig for the 1st time
again.

********now in college, they give me that same feeling everytime i
hear a new song (or old one i never got a chance to hear).

it is just awesome to hear him getting his due airtime.  this is just how
ig got started.  it is a wonderful thing!  maybe now he will tour through
the midwest.  soul's core, his latest album,  is available at major record
stores and is a very nice cd.  although i even more highly recommend his
previous three cd's.  just a thought for those looking for some new music.

hey all--we already know tix go on sale for the two suffragette shows this
saturday at 10 am.  today's tribune also lists the shows at $24.50 per
ticket and a starting time of 7 pm.  it also lists all the other shows
going on sale at the same time tomorrow morning.  it doesn't seem like too
many other big names will be on sale at the same time.  dishwalla seems to
be the biggest band going on sale at the same time so hopefully phone lines
won't be too busy.  good luck and see you at the shows.

im thinking that since its been so slow with the postings in the
afternoon, and my day is painfully uneventful sitting at this desk
without something to keep me busy...ill pose a few silly questions to
the group that might get people talking

1.  if amy and emily were animals, what do you think each of them would
be???

2.  describe your ultimate fantasy concert experience....location, set
list, company, tiome of year....etc...

you can ignore either or both of these if youd like....i wont have hurt

living room of my apartment, a few close friends and fellow fans, anytime
of the year.....
set list: love will come to you, chickenman, winthrop, no way to treat a
friend, land of canaan, language or the kiss, shed your skin, blister in
the sun, and anything else they or i might want to hear.

1.  if amy and emily were animals, what do you think each of them would
be???

i picture amy as more of a lion...very fierce and devoted and protective
(and i'm a leo so i can say whatever i want about lions) :)

i see em as something soft and gentle...unfortunately i always think of a
wave...gentle soothing washing away...never an animal...i'll think about
it...

2.  describe your ultimate fantasy concert experience....location, set
list, company, tiome of year....etc...

my ultimate concert experience would to have front row center tickets to a
mini-lilith of sorts with the main artists i wanna see....including *takes
a deep breath* ig, ani, julia fordham, sarah mclachlan, sonia (formerly of
disappear fear), kristen hall, melissa etheridge, melissa ferrick, jonatha
brooke, jewel...yeah that sounds good...all performing (massive all day
thang...and have backstage passes/an invite to a party with above
mentioned artists :)
i wouldn't really care where it was, so long as someone paid my travel
expense (fly!!!!) and gave me spending money...late summer/early fall
would be good :)

if amy and em were animals they'd be:

emily-a butterfly! *g* but not like a tiny one..it would have to be some
kind of fantasy butterfly...really big and beautiful like something out
of a book or a dream!

amy-a black panther..i think someone's already said that?? dunno but
that's how i see her!

ok fantasy concert..wow this is like what i think about every day! *lol*
it would be a suferagette sessions/lilith sort of thing.
the girls of course, michelle malone, danielle howel, tracy chapman, ani
difranco, sara lee, garrison starr, patty schmel (s/p? formerly the
drummer from hole! i think she's soo cool..) dar williams, me'shell
ndegéocello,  beck, and tori amos *l* is that a diverse enough line-up?

and of course i get to play with all of them! *g*
of course i won't go into all the songs i would want to do with them..
except i would want to do ghost and play it again sam w/amy&emily, ugly
w/garrison, marianne w/tori & medicated magadaline w/michelle.
then i can imagine all of us groovin on ani's "the million you never
made"..*grins* oh well..i'll shut up now!!

*hugs*

1.  if amy and emily were animals, what do you think each of them would
be???

amy would be a tiger.. just cause.. well.. i love tigers.. and.. i love amy..
so. there.. besides.. everytime she sings, live, that repeated line "hey blue
blood you're nothin new.."  just reminds me, well, of a tiger. (:  oh.. and..
first time i saw her up close and in person she was wearing orange jeans..
hehehe..  so that adds to it.  (;  as for emily.. gosh.. hmmmm.. something...
like.. a...  i dunno.. an emu.. beats me. i'm thinking emily could be a huskey
puppy.. because they're cute, and playful, and grow up to be these noble, but
awesome dogs. (:

2.  describe your ultimate fantasy concert experience....location, set
list, company, time of year....etc...

well.. i *almost* had it at lilith fair in jones beach...  almost...  except
take away tracy bonham, heather nova, missy elliot, imani coppola, and whoever
else, and just leave me sarah and the indigo girls......as for the set list,
that was almost perfect as well (*= the songs they did sing at jones beach)
power of two, least complicated, scooter boys*, land of cannan, ghost*, closer
to fine*, the water is wide* (with sarah, and someone else who knows how to do
harmony), get out the map*, shame on you, shed your skin*, & it's alright*...
as for sarah's set.. i will remember you, hold on, ice, i love you, do what
you have to do, adia*, sweet surrender*, angel*, black and white*, witness*, i
will not forget you, full of grace, and the /piano/ version of possession.
time of year was perfect.. summertime... but not too hot...   the venue was
beautiful.... jones beach while the sun's goin down.. and the indigo girls are
playin.. and they're singin "the water is wide"  on a stage that's right on
the water....  and... boats are going by and all.. wowsers. (:  and the stars
at night during sarah's set.. just beautiful.  the company was the best i
could ask for...  the only thing i'd change is i'd have better seats, and back
stage passes. (:

i'm done.

hi everyone,

i know that i haven't posted much lately but i have something to ask you.
also, please forgive this one post that is not related to indigo girls.
some of you may know that i am working on a research paper for school.
this paper will complete my minor in women's studies.  the topic is
lesbian domestic violence.

i have run into a problem w/my sources.  what i am asking is that if any
of you have ever experienced lesbian domestic violence please e-mail me
privately.  i just need to ask a few questions about your experiences.  i
don't need your real names of anything, and it will be kept confidential.

i would really appreciate anyone that can help me.  i understand this is
a sensitive topic but my deadline is coming.  i hope that i haven't
offended anyone by this e-mail.  once again, i apologize for this
non-indigo girl post.  i believe that is an important topic that is often
ignored by the heterosexual as well as the homosexual community.

for those of you who have never experienced lesbian domestic violence
(ldv). you can still help by clicking on to the link provided and
answering a question that i have posted about lesbian domestic violence.
it is towards the bottom of the page so you will hve to scroll down.  the
name to the right of the question will be edward.  so please just take 1
moment and help me out. i really do appreciate this.

small venue, set amongst the redwoods, in the summertime.  anything a&e
wished to play for us.  since it would be a small venue, they would
interact more with the audience, maybe talk a bit about their songs and
such.  i'd have three of my closest friends with me (they all live in other
states.)  i wish more folks would play in humboldt county; they always go
to the san francisco bay area :(

1.  if amy and emily were animals, what do you think each of them would

well...i don' know about emily...but i'm sure amy would be
a big stinky dog.

nothing personal....you know, the kind that just kinda showed up
one day...and you don't quite know just what kind of dog they are.
and they always have burrs and god knows what in their fur because
they are constantly getting into something and you don't want to know
what it is anyway.....

ok...well i guess emily can be a squirrel...a big ol' bird seed stealin'
squirrel.
but only if she asks nice.
