[sherlyn's note: this message was originally sent to the indigo

this was in friday morning quarterback (a radio trade mag) a couple of
weeks ago.  anyone know of the definite release date?  march or may?
anyway . . .

'clash tribute scheduled for next month

the clash tribute album is now set for march 16.  'burning london' features
third eye blind doing "train in vain," ice cube and mack 10 on "should i
stay or should i go," "clampdown" by the indigo girls, silverchair doing
"london's burning," afghan whigs' "lost in the supermarket" and other
tracks by no doubt and rancid among the total of 13.  amy ray commented
that hearing the clash
brought her back to "the activism of early folk and the organic political
movements that exist through music, throughout time, regardless of genre."
she added, "i thought, okay, the '60s don't have a monopoly on politicized
music, they never did."  proceeds from the album go to the children's
hospital of los angeles high risk youth program.'
