this was my first ig concert, so the review may be
choppy, but since i seem to be the first on, i will
give it a try. first off, amazing. (oh, let me just
say here that i am dying for a boot. enough said.)
ig are rocking with the new band, and i can predict
awesome things for the album (amy said look for it in
late september) because they had a great time tonight.
the setlist included, but was possibly not limited to
(not in order):
(a new song first)
gone again
peace tonight (emily song... really nice upbeat)
faye tucker
shame on you
kid fears
tried to be true
least complicated
sister
go
(emily new song... get to the point of it...)
loves recovery
galileo
or (w/ rose p... gorgeous)
i'm sure there were others, but i just can't think at
this point.
encore was cedar tree sounded great with a real celtic
feel owing to the band, and of course closer to fine.
rose was also brought out and sang the "i stopped by
the bar..." verse. the audience was great, very into
the new stuff, and strong singers too! the michael
stipe part was done beautifully by the audience in kf
as well. i can't hear out of my right ear owing to my
location in the 3rd row right next to the speakers,
but it was well worth it. the girls looked great,
very into it. can't wait to hear the album.
hoping others will post a better review, a complete
set list, and a boot offer,
leslie
