to order tickets with visa or mastercard, call (704)892-2375 mon-fri
from 8:30-5:00 eastern. tickets are $25.00 (slight discount for alumni)
plus a $3.00 handling fee (regardless of how many tickets). to order
by mail, send personal check to davidson college athletic ticket office
po box 1750 davidson, nc 28036 (include a note giving name, phone #,
address, and that the $$$ is for ig tix)

folksinger ani difrancos righteous babe label will release a tribute album
to woody guthrie early next year. performances of guthrie tunes by the
likes of billy bragg, bruce springsteen, indigo girls, arlo guthrie, and
difranco herself were recorded back in 1996, when they and others held a
tribute to the 60s folkster in cleveland.

hello everyone!
   this past friday i posted a list auction of ig photos to benefit honor the
earth.  as of today i have only received one reply.  because this fundraiser
is coming to a close shortly,  i've decided to make this offer available to
the *first 5* people who donate $10 or more to hte.  all of your donation
will go directly to honor the earth and i will pay for the postage.  i would
like to offer more sets, but i just paid for my tuition/books and can only
afford the cost of these sets of prints.

indigo girls photos:
for a minimum donation of $10 you will receive one set of 5 different photos
of our girls: 2 of amy, 2 of emily and 1 of them together. these are
beautiful high-quality color shots from the front row of atlanta pride.
there will be 5 unique sets available to the first 5 individuals.

hey lisa and fellow kf's,

tickets for the september 24 show in nashville go on sale monday, august 16th
at 10:00 a.m. cdt. the local ticketmaster number is (615) 255-9600. you
should also be able to get tix on the ticketmaster site (the show is now
listed) or the first american music center site at www.firstamericanmusic.com

if you live in the southeast, you should check with your local ticketmaster
outlet to see if they sell tickets to shows in nashville. i am able to buy
tickets to events in atlanta, memphis, etc. here in nashville.

anyhoo, famc is laid out almost exactly like lakewood in atlanta.  the
pavilion (reserved, covered seats) seats about 9,000 i believe.  i believe
this will the first time ig has played a full concert at famc.  they played
there during the '97 lilith fair.

woodstock '99; speakers announced
first-ever tour of musicians, actors & activists speaking out on global
affairs

following an extraordinary three day stint at woodstock '99 which had
audiences chanting "rosie (perez) for president" and jamming to perry
farrell's only dj'ing gig on site, the spitfire tour is preparing for their
first full-fledged tour. the tour, which will begin in october and appear at

lilith pals on new indigo girls album

the indigo girls have announced a release date for their seventh
studio album, come on now social, and named some high-profile
guests who stopped by to help them out.

fans will likely find a slightly altered sound on the girls' new album,
which finds amy ray and emily saliers teaming up with sin�ad
o'connor's backing band and her longtime producer, john reynolds,
who takes over knob-twiddling duties from malcolm burn. also
appearing on the album are luscious jackson drummer kate
schellenbach, me'shell ndegeocello, joan osborne, who provides
background vocals on "go," and sheryl crow, who makes an
appearance on "gone again."

come on now social will be released on sept. 28 on epic records.
the indigo girls began their summer tour dates with the lilith fair on
aug. 10. having been with the lilith fair since its beginning, they
will also appear at the tour's final date at the commonwealth
stadium in edmonton, alb., on aug. 31.
