re:  the pre-show list gathering -- i was driving in the hickory hollow area
today and found that the traffic light next to o'charley's (and thus, the
courtyard cafe) is actually the fourth traffic light after you take the bell
road exit off of i-24.  i think i previously speculated that it was the third
light.  also, o'charley's is partially obscured by big trees, but it is on
the left side of the road at the light, so just be looking for it.

hope to meet many kind friends tomorrow! :o)

hey, nashville's opener is stereo popsicle.  they are a very cool atlanta
band that shouldn't be missed.  they aren't signed to daemon or anything -
ig just recognize their awesome talent.  also, emily sings backup on one of
their album songs, so i suppose they will do that one for us.  some other
ig openers are ph balance and three finger cowboy.  these groups aren't to
be missed either.  i will say that i have been to a few ig shows where the
opener was highly disappointing, but on this tour, look out!  i highly
recommend being there for the openers on this tour - don't wait around just
for the ig show or many of you will miss out on some amazing southern
homegrown talent.  :)

i spoke to the person at bridges auditorium. the word is: on-sale to
the general public october 4th, through their boxoffice or ticketmaster.
on-sale earlier to students and it is reserved seating. as she said "so
if know someone at pomona college, get them to get tickets for you..."

the claremont main phone number is 909-621-8000, and ask to be
transferred to the bridges auditorium # for directions. there isn't any
recorded info about ig yet - there is a number at the end to talk to a
person, which is what i used. don't everyone inundate her or they'll
learn not to make that number public.

if anyone knows when they go on sale to students, and how to get them,
please post the info.

i thought it would be fun for a bunch of us (or few???) to get together on
tuesday and listen to the new cd, so i'm hosting the (un)official ig
listening party at my casa. please come. i'll have some munchies, but no
dinner. either eat first or bring something. (i don't get paid 'til the
first!) anyway, here's the details:

date: tues., sept 28th (duh)
time: cd will start promptly at 7:30 so folks can be home early; come at 7
if you want to chat for 1/2 an hr.
place: 1297 pennsylvania ave.  (this is in columbus--victorian village,
just south of osu campus.  to get there from high st. & campus, go south on
high, turn right at 5th, take 5th to pennsylvania, which is 1 blk past neil
(5th parallels neil), and turn right on pennsylvania.  our house is almost
immediately on your left w/purple flower boxes.  call w/question 299-0125.
rsvps would be nice, so i have some sense of who to expect.
