hkf's,
there was an article in the atlanta journal-constitution today about the
girls playing in atlanta.  here it is:

"intimate indigo girls"
decaturs' indigo girls, whose most recent atlanta shows have been at music
midtown and chastain park amphitheatre, will move into the intimate downtown
tabernacle - capacity about 1,000 - for a series of concerts starting dec.
16.  prices haven't been determined, but tickets likely will go on sale nov.
1.  russell carter, the indigos' attorney/manager, said demand will
determine how many performances vocalists amy ray and emily saliers will
schedule.  they've been touring since sept.  28 to push their seventh epic
studio album, "come on now social."

well, that's it.  hope you enjoyed it.

heather

well---since no one has really posted a review---i guess i'll attempt to, but this is my first,
so please, someone else feel free to jump in!

first of all the concert kicked ass! i have never been that close (except at the 9:30 club) and
i was with awesome people....it was just beyond description. the crowd was great----(except two
annoying girls in front of me who kept doing cheers???) and  the music was loud---i still can
hear their voices in my head.
the opening act was the butchies.....i truthfully have never seen them before---or heard
their music....it was cool---they smile a lot!
ig----were to die for. em was wearing all black...with blue suede shoes and amy was
wearing satin-like powder blue pants and some weird striped/flower shirt....they weren't very
talkative, but amy kept coming to the side edge of the stage---and dancing for us, and waving
and looking at everyone. i swear she was born to be a punk rocker....amy did talk about low
broadcast radio during the encore...that was the most they probably said. i loved how emily
looked so shocked that we know so many of the songs lyrics....like we don't listen to the cds or
something!!! she let us sing a lot.....
this woman in the front row in front of me (i was third row.)...had a sign that had
"amy, for the love of god, play romeo & juliet"...and on the other side it had something about a
set list. amy came over, read it---and acknowledged her. at the end of the concert she handed
her the set list and a pick....i thought the woman was going to die. it was pretty
entertaining---and sweet on amy's part.
i have somewhat of a set list---this is all my sister and friend could remember we know
the order of the beginning---and the end---but the middle is probably mixed up and missing some
stuff....so somebody else should step up and post it---mine is just a huge guess....oh..one more
thing, the cello player is awesome....

go
peace tonight
scooter boys
**then it gets foggy---
get out the map
sister
trouble
closer to fine
least complicated
3 hits
shed your skin
ghost (oh, my god---i thought i had died and gone to heaven--this is one of my favs!!)
land of caanan
ozillene
fay tucker
***remember this part
shame on you

encore
soon be to nothing
compromise
galileo

it feels like i am missing a lot of songs...or that time just stood still....it was just an all
time blast....9:30 club was still better.....but i have never danced harder as here.
hope you all have a great day!
ciao--meg

it was discussed here a little while back that amy had finished go in the
wake of the high school shows being cancelled last year. here's a quote from
her from a talk she gave at clemson last year, right before she played "go":

> i'm gonna play a song ... i've been working on this song for a couple of
> years and then i ... actually, i think we were playing at clemson, there
> were all these people waiting out in line in the rain. it was after the
> cancellations that happened. it was super-supportive. so i finished the
> song, because it ... i don't know ... it made me feel good.
