it should be noted that i am intimately involved with the company that
supplies their hemp hooded sweatshirt (ok, so maybe "intimately" isn't the
right word but i carry their product line in my store).

nomads1800 (http://www.nomads1800.com/) donates the profits to arts programs
for inner-city kids. they are listed as a 509(a)2 non-profit organization.
so when you buy a sweatshirt, you know your money is going to a good cause.
and considering their mission statement:

nomads 1800, inc. is dedicated to the development,
expansion, growth, inspiration and exchange of
        artistic, humanitarian and environmental community
        for america and beyond.

i'd say it is very fitting that ig would team up with them. when i saw these
at the concert, i was thrilled that they were supporting such a worthwhile
company. please check out this website and you will see that "blatant
capitalism" isn't always what it appears. and if anyone has any other
questions for me regarding hemp, like why the dea is trying to run boulder
hemp co. out of business, email me privately. if i don't know the answer, i
will find it.

well, yer right. ms. chapman is comming out with a new album. i don't yet have
the information on what it's called or whats happening, but i will, since i
have been asked by my editor to interview her.

here's some trivia for you- tracy chapman chooses the people she wants to be
interviewed by personally. you actually need to submit to her 2 or 3
interviews you have done so she can see the quality of your work and assess if
you are worthy.

cool, huh?

i agree completely with you!!!!!  i went to see the girls in state
college and i had waited in line all day!!!!!!  i was maybe 10 people
back in line...so we all went in set out our blankets and watched the
entire set of michele malone's.
and then in between her and the girls in came alll these young
kids....they waltzed right up front, walked all over my blanket and
stood there in front of the rest of us adults  who had been waiting so
patiently all day....i was beyond angry!!!!!i dont care what anyone has
to say...
there is such a thing as respect for people's personal space....i'm big
on this....
peace and love,

hi
a couple of years ago, i was on this list.  someone from the united states
was kind enough to record an ig video for me from pay per view.  not long
after i received it, i was rather ill and was in a bit of a bad state.
after i got out of hospital,  i had the video etc, but couldnt track down
the contact details of the person who had sent them to me.   you will
probably remember me by my name: sandy indlekofer-o'sullivan or you may have
sent it just to sandy o'sullivan if i was trying to be kind and save you the
difficult spelling.

i am hoping that this kind person could possibly contact me and let me know
their address, so i can send them the reparations for their efforts.    at
the time i was on the list and the person sent me the video, i was living in
australia, i am currently living in the united arab emirates.  i feel
dreadfully bad that the person had such an unpleasant experience by not
getting so much as a thank you, let alone compensation, so i really want to
make it up to you if you are out there.

thanks again,
sandy

great idea ... i live in the dc area ... if someone can direct me to a
website that outlines the route, i'll be happy to suggest some good meeting
places.  unless, of course, julie was suggesting the group meet on a day
other than the march itself.

hi everyone! i'm a little confused about the details of the upcoming chicago
shows. the house of blues show - is this general admission? can under-21
people get in? do i have to buy tickets? how much $?
the u of c show - when do tickets go on sale to the public?
also, i encourage everyone in the area to go see rose polenzani in
valporaiso, indiana (less than an hour from chicago, i think), on feb. 25 if
the hob show doesn't work out.

somebody fill me in!
love,

on a somewhat related note, i've been adding an audio page to my website,

also windows media files of 'charmed and harmed' and 'california song' from

hey everyone
i was at a friend's place last night watching the game and i noticed this ig
video tape.  she said it was something they were handing out for free, i
think during a midnight signing and/or release thing here in atlanta at a
bookstore.  it's about 10 minutes long and is a quick chronicle of their
history, up until about the time of their "demo tour" before shaming of the
sun came out.  anyone seen this?  i'd never heard of it before.  something i
didn't know - during their $10 tour they let the first fan in line write the
set list (or so they say in this video).  is this true?  were any of you one
of the lucky ones?  also, an interviewer asked emily and amy to use a food
to describe the other.  amy chose strawberry for emily, and emily chose rice
and beans for amy.  they both were laughing a lot at what the other said.
okay, that's it for my random ramblings right now.

yup, this was given out as a free promo type thing when you purchased
sots.  it's kind of nifty, though preaching to the choir a bit, i think.

since i bought my copy somewhere that didn't see a whole lot of folky
types, i asked for two and got two.  i probably could have gotten more,
but was too excited to think that far ahead.

btw, the parheli0n@aol.com addy won't work for me anymore.  (i got way too
frustrated and cancelled the whole &*%^$* thing.)  i'm still on the
lookout for a new isp, but use this address for now.

nancy, the armydillo of tampa, could you e-mail me?  thanks!

what do you know? this video sits right next to me every day at my desk. it's
called "a video yearbook", and (at least mine) has a brown and white cover,
with the sots dolls on the front. it's a neat little video if any of y'all can
pick it up.
