got this off the allstar daily news today:

indigo girls, krist novoselic slated for spitfire tour

the spring edition of the third annual spitfire tour, a traveling free
speech-a-thon featuring musicians, actors, and activists, will kick off
march 9 in portland, ore.

newcomers this time around include indigo girl emily saliers, who will join
her partner-in-crime amy ray (the duo will also perform acoustically), moon
zappa, and julia "butterfly" hill (in person for the first time). spitfire
veterans rosie perez, michael franti, woody harrelson, andy dick, ex-nirvana
bassist krist novoselic, and kennedy are also on board again this year.

only the initial seven dates have been announced. more guests and the
remaining 13 dates of the 20-city tour will be announced in the near future.

here are the first seven dates of the 2000 spitfire tour:

march 9, portland, ore., reed college (moon zappa, kennedy, michael franti,
krist novoselic)
april 3, morgantown, w.va., west virginia university (rosie perez, michael
franti, jonah goldberg, kennedy)
april 4, edwardsville, ill., southern illinois university (rosie perez,
kennedy, michael franti, jonah goldberg)
april 5, bloomington, ill., illinois wesleyan university (rosie perez,
kennedy, michael franti, jonah goldberg)
april 6, dekalb, ill., northern illinois university (rosie perez, kennedy,

hi y'all. am i the first on that discover this? i found a home video from
best buy called mtv unplugged �� classic moments, released in 1999 by song
entertainment. and ig's closer to fine is in it!! so i bought it, and saw
their performace of ctf on 1/30/90, national video center, ny. they were so
young back then, and amy's whistling skills still very much need to be
improved! :) anyway i was mad at whoever did the cover of the video-they have
totally 8 artist performed in the video, and they have everyone else but ig's
photo on the cover!! why why why??

okay, so hi everyone (again).

anyway, i also have a copy of the show that aired on star 95.7
(local radio station in trampa). i am willing to trade, as i desperately need
to build my non-existant boot collection (lol). please e-mail me if you are

also... i was at both the gasparilla (tampa) and daytona shows, and had the
pleasure of briefly meeting the girls after the daytona show (which kicked
ass). i can't believe how incredibly humble and genuinely nice they still
are, even though now the rest of the world has clearly seen how very talented
and eloquent they are. 'tis a mystery to me...... anyway, if anyone has a
copy of the daytona show, i would love to have a chance at it. please please
please pretty please with sugar on top let me know. =)

want to see people making lots of $$ off them and they have shut down places
