sigh....where to begin. ok well just when you think that your life cannot
get any better (or ig shows anyway) it does. here's how it went down from
front row center :o). rose opened...which was ok. she had a male guitar
player with her which seemed to liven up her set. the girls came out and
told everyone that it was a benefit show for a pro-choice organization ( i am
sorry i do not remember the name of it). amy was wearing her black "rock for
choice" t-shirt, blue jeans, and her blue suede shoes (no cowboy hat :o( ).
emily was wearing a button down shirt with vertical stripes, and black pants
( i didn't notice any glitter). the show was awesome. they were very smiley
and very into it.

for those wanting to catch the cspan action (including ig), go to....
http://www.cspan.org/wto-imf/
you will need to have the bandwidth for "streaming media" or whatever the
hell that is.
for those wanting just to see ig (shame), go to the sun protest, #1, and
fast forward to the end (around 2:35.00 -- 2:44.00.
does anyone know how to save?

3. ngltf honors allies: the national gay and lesbian task force (ngltf), a
political action organization, is having its 11th annual "honoring our
allies" reception saturday, april 29, in washington, d.c. the event
recognizes people and organizations that have contributed to the lesbian,
gay, bisexual and transgender community's attainment of civil rights. being
honored are comedian kate clinton; actor wilson cruz; musical group the
indigo girls; kathy levinson, e*trade ceo and president, and her partner
jennifer levinson; sandra thurman, appointed in 1997 by president clinton
as the aids czar; and laurence tribe, a harvard university attorney who was
involved with the u.s. supreme court's reviews of bowers v. hardwick and
romer v. evans. "we are going to honor people who have proven to be leaders
in our movement and whose careers span a number of diverse areas," said
david elliot, ngltf communications director. "all these people are part of
the mix that has contributed to our movement's visibility and success." as
with many others organizations, ngltf saw the benefits of having an event
during the millennium march on washington weekend. "there will be
100,000-plus people here," he said. "it's a good opportunity to show off
the good works of the ngltf, thank the people who have supported us and
hopefully get some new supporters." contact elliot at 202-332-6483, ext.
3303, for more information.
