hey y'all,

i'm back home for a grand total of about 18 hours before heading out for
gt. falls, so i thought i'd give y'all a brief review, albeit
incomplete. here's the incomplete setlist (from the girls set only). this
is all i could remember off the top of my head (and in no particular
order).

galileo
shame on you
get out the map
point hope (which, by the way, will be available at indigogirls.com in 'a
couple weeks', according to amy. you gotta pay for it, has that
been mentioned? another source said it was $3.60, but i have yet
to verify and all the proceeds, of course, go to hte)
leaving (em's new song)
closer to fine
peace tonight
gone again

indigenous opened. i thought they were great, if not a little loud. i
don't mean to sound like a fuddy-duddy, but i went expecting acoustic and
forgot about them. but, i fashioned some makeshift earplugs and it was
fine.

then, a&e came on, looking radiant as always. granted, those recent pics
of amy make her look a bit thin and, perhaps, pale, but allow me to
reassure you, she looks just fine in person. she was dancing around on the
stage just like always, and i think the fiery look she gave the sound guy
when she was trying to get her mic turned up was what assured me. she's
definitely doing fine. sadly, all the attempts to get the crowd into it
were lost. not even any singing along during galileo. i must say, i hope
the next crowds are a little more participatory.

after their set, they brought on joan baez who sang "there but for
fortune" (sorry if that's not the right title) and an a capella
spiritual. she's amazing. then, she sang world falls and don't think
twice... with the girls. too cool.

short intermission. they showed a short video, had four (i think) very
brief speakers and on came bonnie, who rocked the house. although,
unfortunately, i remember even less of her setlist. she did sing louise,
which is what i was waiting for. not to mention dimming of the day. and
brought on the special surprise guest of the evening, cris williamson, who
sang louise with bonnie and another song i can't recall the name of by
herself. and the big encore was joan, the girls, cris williamson, and
bonnie doing angel from montgomery. phenomenal.
