last email i send out today, i promise. for those who want to just skim through
this, might i suggest the last paragraph...

this saturday, please join in a counter-demonstration against fred
phelps at the hynes convention center.
for those of you not familiar with his teachings, go to:
www.godhatesfags.com <http://www.godhatesfags.com/>
please pass this info along to your friends and other list-servs.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
more info from chris sedition:
the 'reverend' fred phelps (aka of "god hates fags" infamy) is coming
to town! he is planning to protest the american academy of pediatrics on
october 19th for their position supporting children of same-sex couples
and second parent adoption rights. there is gonna be a
counter-demonstration on october 19th, 4-6 pm, hynes convention
center.
hundreds of people demonstrated in fort collins, colo., against anti-gay
rev. fred phelps on the weekend.
phelps and eight other members of his westboro baptist church had made
the trip from topeka, kan., to stage a rally on the fourth anniversary
of the death of matthew shepard.
phelps, carrying a sign with shepard's picture and the words "matt 4
years in hell," picketed outside hughes stadium saturday during the
colorado state-wyoming football game.
shepard had been a student at wyoming before being lured out of a bar by
two men, beaten, and left tied to a fence on a rural road. he died 10
days later, in a fort collins hospital on oct. 12, 1998.
many of those going to the football game ignored the phelps picketers as
they entered the stadium. some made obscene gestures or yelled at them.
across the street, nearly 500 people staged a counter demonstration,
organized by csu's gay lesbian, bisexual and transgender student
services. some signs read, "your hate is your hell" and "stop hate."
phelps told a radio reporter on saturday that the sept. 11, 2001,
terrorist attacks were god's "wrath and vengeance" against an evil
country. "this nation is filthy because it accepts the gay lifestyle,"
he said.

hi all,
just transcribed these because someone e-mailed me and requested
this; thought some of you might be interested, too.
happy strummin'.

i'll give you my skin:
no capo
intro:
em, am, bm (play two times)
(use for all verses)
verse 1:
well you, you can sit in your high chairs, high chairs are for children...
you can sit in your high chairs and laugh...
i'll give you my best face, i'll give you my freedom, i'll give you my feet
and my hands...
pre-chorus:
c, bm (repeat as needed)
i'm keeping my eyes open, open, open to the field...
hold your dances there, take the crop, (f#m, bm) share the yield...
em, am, b (repeat as needed)
you can join us together, break us apart, a wound in the skin is a break
in the heart...
you can coast on your laughter, high shelf your heart but laughter's for
healing, not tearing apart...
c, bm (repeat as needed)
i'm keeping my eyes open to the fields...
you can hold your dances there, take the crop, (f#m, bm) share the
yield...
g, c
not a soul is lost for collapsing the walls...
you can dance in the dust, you can walk it off, walk, walk it off...
am, bm, am
if you're fallin', you're fallin', come callin' to me... fallin', fallin'...
f#m, bm
em, am, bm (repeat as needed through guit solo, too)
i'll give you my skin, i will give you my skin...
am, bm (repeat as needed)
i'm keeping my eyes open to the field... (if you're fallin, you're fallin',
come callin' to me...)
you can hold your dances there... (if you're fallin, you're fallin', come
callin' to me...)
take the crop, share the yield... (if you're fallin, you're fallin', come callin'
to me...)
i'm keeping my eyes... (if you're fallin, you're fallin', come callin' to me...)
open to the field... (if you're fallin, you're fallin', come callin' to me...)
hold your dances there... (if you're fallin, you're fallin', come callin' to
me...)
take the crop, share the yield... (if you're fallin, you're fallin', come callin'
to me...)
(stop)
if you're fallin, you're fallin', come callin' to me...
if you're fallin, you're fallin', come callin' to me...
if you're fallin, you're fallin', come callin' to me...
am, bm, em
i will give you my skin...

that's it. any thoughts, corrections ....whatever, are welcome:).
it's up on my site too (www.indigogirls.de <http://www.indigogirls.de/>).
be well,
kathrin

beyond the reach of other desires. no-one can legislate love;
it cannot be given orders or cajoled into service. love belongs
to itself, deaf to pleading and unmoved by violence. love is
not something you can negotiate. love is the one thing stronger
than desire and the only proper reason to resist temptation."
