i won't be there, but a friend sent me the following info.

lauren

you can also buy the tickets over the phone for $20 plus $1.50 service
charge, which may be cheaper and / or easier than the internet. call (323)
463-0204 and press for the box office. if they do not answer, an operator
can sell you the tickets.

this will work for 95+% of the fans but not the people who really want to be
in the front for the show. doors open at 8:00 p.m. and the will call window
for all those who purchased tickets over the internet or telephone opens at
7:30 p.m. you can line up as early as you want to pick up your tickets, but
you cannot get on the line to enter until you have your tickets in your
hand.

the only people who can line up to enter prior to 7:30 p.m. are those who
went to the box office to purchase tickets and already have their tickets in
their hands.

[sherlyn's note: here's the latest official mailer...]

february 8, 2002

greetings - i want to give everyone an update on the availability of the
extra "bonus" tracks that we have mentioned in the past. epic found that
there is interest from several retailers for special gifts associated with
pre-orders and purchases of the album so we developed three separate
packages as follows:

(1) amazon - for a limited time only, if you pre-order the album "become
you" from amazon.com , you get a bonus cd with the following three tracks:
(a) she's saving me (guitar and vocals only mix); (b) starkville (guitar,
vocals, harmonica only mix); (c) laramie (from amy's solo record called
"stag" on daemon records);

(2) borders books & music - their site, borders.com , is serviced by
amazon, so on line you get the same deal as described above for amazon.
however, the borders stores will offer a separate bonus cd with the
purchase of "become you" that contains the following material: (a) our
deliverance (guitars, mandolin and vocals only mix); (b) everything in its
own time (board mix from the atlanta ballet performance at the fox in
atlanta on october 20, 2001 matinee); (c) johnny rottentail (from amy's
solo record called "stag" on daemon records);

(3) coalition of independent retail music stores - the website is
the-ird.com . you can go there and get a coupon for a limited edition cd
with the following three tracks: (a) hope alone (without strings); (b)
bitterroot (bass, drums, vocals only mix); (c) late bloom (from amy's solo
record called "stag" on daemon records). the site lists all of the
independent stores that are participating in the program. the coupon will
not be available until the week of the release.

we are about to put a new sticker, a package of cool coasters and a limited
edition promo tour t-shirt on our store site , so check out the new
merchandise when you get a chance!

five weeks and counting - - -become you- - - march 12th

best regards, russell

[sherlyn's note: this message was originally sent to the indigo
girls mailing list at netspace.org.]

hey y'all-
the webcast of the future of music coalition conference that took place
here in dc on 1/7-8 will finally be available for your viewing pleasure
from feb. 11- 13 at: http://www.on-the-i.tv/fmc2002/index.html

the focus of the fmc conference generally was to foster discussion
between various segments of the music industry about copyright issues,
artists' rights and the impact of digital technology on the future of
music distribution. amy ray was a participant on the "new models" panel
(panel #10), hosted by jenny toomey, which- according to the
abovementioned link- looks like it will be webcast on 2/13 at noon
(est, i think). this panel highlighted alternatives to the major label
quid pro quo for methods of artist management, music distribution, and
organizing and running record labels. as a layperson and music industry
outsider, the discussion was thought-provoking, respectful, and very
accessible, so check it out if you're interested. however, if you
aren't going to be available during the scheduled webcast, i *believe*
that the whole conference is eventually going to be archived on the
fmc's website at http://futureofmusic.org (a very informative and
impressive collection of resources related to current topics/debates in
the music industry, and very worthy of perusing in its own right, if
you get a chance!!!).
enjoy-
marian

the official site has posted two more shots for the by shoot, including the
picture from which the mof single cover was taken. you can kind of see why
they
cropped it; amy's hand looks all weird.

my life is so exciting.

mandy,
thinking that sometimes good things do come with smooth jazz sax solos.
occasionally.

i don't know if this'll be live on the website, but fwiw, kbco has been a
strong backer of ig.  i think that's a good part of why the denver/boulder
area is one of their strongest markets.

lauren

tune in to 97.3 kbco on monday around 2:30pm to hear the indigo girls
perform live in kbco studio c!
we'll have tickets to give away during the session for their show monday
night at the fox theater, so listen on monday for your chance to win!

visit the kbco studio c listening station  at kbco.com to hear archived
sessions with chris isaak and jewel in streaming audio!

from the daemon message board:

march 1st at 3:30 pm
indigo to be in the river music hall (wxrv 92.5
haverhill/boston).

they'll be in town playing that night at the
paradise, so i'm glad they're making it
to this radio station (which plays amy's on your
honor occasionally and always
talks about stag and ig). oh, and they are playing
hammer & nail right now,
which reminded me of posting this.

i think you may be able to listen live, but am not
sure:
