i recently had to contact neil to get a copy of the liners for his wonder=

they are *huge* so make sure your isp can handle a big attachment. i am =

if you want one, i have them for 1 through 5.

hello peoples!
i temporarily unsubscribed to the list while i was on a medical mission trip
to costa rica the past ten days. was there with a group of twenty other
medical personnel and we braved curvy, narrow roads, and dusty one-lane
streets to gather smiles as we saw patients in makeshift clinics in
methodist churches. it was an adventurous experience just living in costa
rica--drinking bottled water in the city, and then the toilet paper---well,
never mind.
roosters crowed at various hours in the morning when we were north of san
jose, near la fortuna. so much so that the next morning my cabinmates
protested loudly to the owners and we got rooster stew for supper that
night. it's true! at first, i didn't believe it, and thought they just
sold the rooster to someone else. one of the nights there, we fit 20 people
in a small pickup truck, on our way down to the sugar festival. these
doctors/nurses/dentists! you take away the seatbelt law and they take it to
extremes.
i was listening to norah jones throughout the trip; then on the last leg of
the plane ride home, i put 'become you' on the mini-turntable, and happily
sung along to become you(quietly). we arrived in harrisburg, pa around
11:30pm and just after we had gotten our suitcases, amy ray's voice is
sailing through the air, then emily saliers joins her in the chorus of
"moment of forgiveness". i was giddy for a minute, then very sleepy, so i
headed to my car.
and i find out that "mof" is a single! today when surfing the ig website.
long live the indigo girls!

not that i care anymore (i've gone onto other worries now.) but perhaps
the meetup organizers can change the number of people they draw the line
at...like instead of going,"if there are five or under, we won't have a
meetup
in that area....." they can say,"oh well let's change that....if there
are less than three we won't have a meetup."
wishful thinking hah?

hi again,
ok..i've dug out all of my shirts. i can't figure out the best way to sell all of them without getting shirts and people all mixed up, so i put them in groups of 4 and will sell them that way i guess...
i'm gonna go ahead and ask and extra $6 (to cover the shipping costs & shipping envelope). several of these shirts are fairly rare and nice collector's items.
here's what i have:
package #1 (total=$26)
$8- indigo girls alice in wonderland white shirt from the $10 tour they did way back when.. xl
great condition, nice for collecting and rare. i don't think it's ever been worn.
$2- swamp ophelia 94 tour crew shirt. says indigo girls in script. xl
$6- indigo girls 1991 swing shirt. xl. never worn. indigo girls logo in rainbow letters with a drawing on the front and back.
$3- pink indigo girls shirt from back in the day! has shots of the both of them in black from what looks like either self-titled or nis days. xl
$20 for the 4 shirts plus $6 for the shipping/envelope.
package #2 (total=$26)
$6- black self-titled t-shirt from 1989. very rare and great collector's item! l
$5- blue honor the earth 97 tour shirt. never worn. l
$7- white 1989 fox theatre aids research concert t-shirt. never worn!! great condition. haven't seen one of these around. says indigo girls on front with an interesting colorful drawing. xl
$2- purple 1993 franklin & marshall college show crew shirt. has a rectangular box on the left hand side..says indigo girls friday may 7th, 1993 in big letters. xl
$20 for the shirts plus $6 shipping/envelope.
package #3 (total=$22)
$6- white nomads indians saints shirt. xl. never worn.
$5- tie-dye shirt, says indigo girls in cursive writing on the front. i don't think it has ever been worn, but it a little old. great condition though. xl
$4- maroon swamp ophelia t-shirt with the water bird on the front. used but good condition. xl.
$1- yellow bucknell concert committee presents indigo girls, april 30, 1993. used. xl. interesting for collection.
$16 for shirts plus the $6 for shipping/envelope.
package #4 (total=$22)
$4- blue swamp ophelia dartmouth spring 95 shirt. interesting artwork in a box on the front. xl. used but good condition.
$3- honor the earth shirt. grey. looks like one of the first honor shirts, one i haven't seen before. good condition. xl. nice for collection.
$3- jesus christ superstar t-shirt. cream colored. can't tell if it's been worn, but doesn't look like it. xl.
$6- white "ain't nothin' but a tea party" shirt. rare!! never used. interesting art on the front. xl.
$16 for shirts, 6 bucks shipping/envelope.
will throw in a local crew shirt from shaming of the sun.

this is second hand info, so take it for what it's worth. my gf was driving
home tonight with her stereo tuned to public radio when she heard what she
thought was amy ray's voice in a teaser for tomorrow's "marketplace" feature
on independent radio. i haven't the time to verify this info right now, but
wanted to put it out there just in case. check your local public radio site
or <http://www.npr.org/> for details.

yep, it sure sounded like her.
the teaser said something about "big-time musicians starting their own
little labels."
today's show should be archived: <http://www.marketplace.org/>

subject: amy on "marketplace" (npr) tomorrow night
hi friends, apologies if this has already been posted, but i heard on tonight's
ending of npr's marketplace a clip about a story they are doing tomorrow, and
then i heard that unmistakable amy ray voice saying something like "our label
focuses on making music without being concerned about profit" or some other
equally amy-esque statement. they didn't even say it was amy, but i just know
it is. the story is about...you guessed it, record labels who 'do things
differently'.
so, you may wanna tune in, if for no other reason than it;s niiiiice to hear
that voice. in boston, it's on at 6:40 pm sharp and you can find out what time
it is on in your part of the world by going to npr.org and clicking
on 'marketplace'

---------- forwarded message ----------
i had a great time performing on the radio show "mountain stage", which will
be broadcast on public radio stations the week of april 11. it was the
weekend of the huge east coast blizzard, and i just barely made it to
charleston, wv before all flights were cancelled. unfortunately, my bags and
guitar didn't make it, so i bought a charleston t-shirt at the hotel gift
shop and performed in that and blue jeans (i actually kind of liked it as a
new look.) and i borrowed a beautiful taylor guitar from julie adams, who
sings on the show. so it all turned out okay. i performed a new-ish song,
"this is home", and a beautiful dave carter song i've been doing live called
"cowboy singer".
also, the indigo girls were on the show. i'd never met them before, though
i've been a fan for a long time (i just love their singing and their
harmonies). they were great, and they were two of the nicest people i've
met in a while. i've always heard that about them, and it was true.
it happened to be my birthday, and to my huge surprise the mountain stage
folks gave me a birthday cake (larry gross, the host of the show, told me
his wife baked it!) i still don't know how they found out it was my
birthday.

did anyone listen? i thought it was so cool that the feature began with
comments from amy and a snippet of "lucy stoners". and i love aimee mann, so
it was great to hear about her experiences. it is totally insane that 'til
tuesday never saw *any* money from the sale of all those hit songs. also, i
found it interesting that the show's focus seemed to be female independents.
it would be interesting to know what the female to male ratio is among all
these pros gone indie.
oh, and in the interest of accuracy, "marketplace" *can* be found through
the npr website (http://www.npr.org/about/programs/other.html#m <http://www.npr.org/about/programs/other.html>).
information about most programs affiliated with public radio can be located
by browsing through npr's site. it only took me a few seconds to locate
"marketplace" when i looked for it this morning.

i'm pretty excited - marketplace is one of my favorite programs on public
radio.
i'm not a business type, but i enjoy their excellent reporting & stories.

does anyone know if there is a transcript anywhere? i was unable to
listen but would love to read it! karen
>>> robbin love <extra.crunchy@verizon.net> 03/13/03 01:40am >>>
did anyone listen? i thought it was so cool that the feature began
with
comments from amy and a snippet of "lucy stoners". and i love aimee
mann, so
it was great to hear about her experiences. it is totally insane that
'til
tuesday never saw *any* money from the sale of all those hit songs.
also, i
found it interesting that the show's focus seemed to be female
independents.
it would be interesting to know what the female to male ratio is among
all
these pros gone indie.
oh, and in the interest of accuracy, "marketplace" *can* be found
through
the npr website (http://www.npr.org/about/programs/other.html#m <http://www.npr.org/about/programs/other.html>).
information about most programs affiliated with public radio can be
located
by browsing through npr's site. it only took me a few seconds to
locate
"marketplace" when i looked for it this morning.

actually, markeplace is a production of mpr and pri, so going to
npr.org
will
not find it for you. here is a list of stations that carry the

hey...
<<it is totally insane that 'til tuesday never saw *any* money from the sale
of all those hit songs.>>
technically they did - they got their advance for each album. they just
didn't earn enough to pay that off. plus they would have got the publishing
money.
here's a wonderful, wonderful article on the subject:
