although i am certain that real live customer service reps do indeed exist
at internet-based retailers such as amazon.com, i am sure they are bitter
because they are an online retailer and still need to employ live people to
answer questions from confused customers.  at any rate, my advice to you
would be to use the "contact us" function in the help section of amazon and
ask your questions there.  the response would probably be more informative
than any of us non-amazon employed ig fans could muster.

from what the rest of us have shared, it appears as though the "limited
edition" cd (as the one amazon/borders advertises is) includes the dvd, but
to err on the side of caution, i'd indebt myself to my father even further
and have him shell out another $18 so i could purchase one from the tower
records site as well -- as tower's site makes it clear that the bonus dvd is
indeed included.  http://www.towerrecords.com/product.aspx?pfid=2948527

let's attempt to straighten this out. to the best of our knowledge, =
there have been two special editions of this cd so far:

1.  the limited edition with the dvd
2.  the limited edition with the dvd and booklet only availble through =
sony. =20

so, if your aim is to get the dvd and the booklet, my suggestion is to =
buy it directly from sony.

well, our beloved girls are on apple's itunes page
(www.apple.com/itunes/) as a featured artist today.  we've already
talked about how they're offering fill it up again and a live version
of perfect world through the itunes music store...

but did all of you non-mac users know that itunes isn't just for
macintosh anymore?  they have a windoze version available (still no
linux version, sadly), and while i've never made any purchases through
the music store, i have to admit that i love itunes as a music
organizer and mp3 player.

but wait!!!  there's more!

starting february, pepsi is going to be doing one of those "look under
the cap" games and giving away 100 million songs via the itunes music
store.  they're claiming that 1 in 3 will be a winner.  that's a lot of
songs out there available for free...  i'm not usually a soda drinker,
but i think i can endure any number of pepsi products in order to get a
few free, legitimate music downloads.

lesbian drama gets quick renewal on showtime

by andrew wallenstein

new york (hollywood reporter) - though it premiered only 11 days ago, lesbian drama "the l word" has already received a renewal from showtime for a second season.

the fastest pickup in the premium channel's history, "word" wowed showtime entertainment president robert greenblatt by quadrupling the network's primetime average rating in its first two episodes.

"with its provocative storytelling, rich character development, amazing cast and universal appeal, the decision to renew 'word' was a no-brainer," greenblatt said in a statement.

production will begin on the next 13 episodes in june. the first season also contained 13 episodes, including a two-hour pilot episode.

but the pepsi thing only offers you free music if you would normally drink
a lot of pepsi. if you are not normally a soda drinker, which you say
you're not, you'll be buying 3 bottles of pepsi (probably for around $1.19
each if you buy them individually from a cooler at a convenience store)
for every $1 song you get "free". so on average, you'd be paying over 3.5
times as much as you would if you skipped buying the pop like you normally
do and just bought the tunes, and it would all be going according to their
evil plan. and that's assuming you actually achieve that ratio - you could
be unlucky and buy lots of pepsi and never actually get a song code.

all with the added bonus of 250 calories you wouldn't normally drink,
which, unlike eating 250 calories worth of food, also won't fill you up
and cue your body to eat less of other things to compensate for the treat.
(not that i don't love drinking pop, but i'm struggling to cut back.)

so anyway, what i'm saying is, don't fall for this. it's only a free song
if you would have bought the pop regardless of any promotion going on.

as a loyal and proud employee of pepsi, i must disagree.  if you don't drink
pepsi, drink diet pepsi.  or if you prefer non caffeinated soda, drink sierra
mist or diet sierra mist.
you may think pepsi is an "evil" company, but you obviously don't know what i
do.  pepsi is a great company to work for.  when i had cancer 2 years ago (a
second occurance), they supported me in ways that the company i worked for
before never did.  they give tons of money and donations to local groups and
charities here in the bay area.
they promote women more than most companies in the us and our pay is equal to
men's in the same position.

if you buy a soda to get free music, you're supporting me.  so, if it's a
choice between coke and pepsi, buy pepsi.

i'm glad they treat you well, but the original poster said he does not
tend to drink soda at all. if you buy a product you don't want just for a
chance to get another product you could get for less money, that's not
free, that's overpaying.

in other news, diet soda tastes gross, and coke is more delicious than
pepsi, but mountain dew is more delicious than mello yello. :)

ok, maybe that second bit is just my opinion... the first bit is fact.

if you don't drink soda, then send away for the free game piece.  nothing
lost there.
