amy and emily did interview segments during their filmed concert special at the bottom line club in new york that ran on pay per view tv earlier this year. in one of the segments, they mentioned that they read through the email requests we fans sent for songs. they then made a list of the requested song titles and began listening to old material for the album.
unless they announce differently, expect to see the album in 2005.

hey folks,
there's an article about spiritual books which mentions the new book
"a song to sing, a life to live " (written by emily and her father
don saliers) here:
http://www.nj.com/living/expresstimes/index.ssf?/base/living-0/1103277901180=

it includes quotes from both emily and her father.
cheers,

there's a rising star in the world of lesbian romance novels named
radclyffe. she's been publishing for the past four years or so, has won
awards, and people who've been lucky enough to read her books know that
she's the real deal -- a great writer, a great storyteller, and a true
romantic. and her stories are really hot!!
plus, a little birdie told me that her novels are popular on the ig tour
bus, 'cause one of the girls is a big fan (that's the sigc!).
to add to the mix, she and her partner lee have recently started a
publishing company -- bold strokes books -- dedicated to the publication of
quality lesbian fiction. this press looks to the past as it moves to the
future, and they've already established a small but talented pool of both
new and established writers from north america, the uk, and europe.
if you're looking for the perfect gift -- or just want a good read for
yourself -- check rad and bold strokes out: www.boldstrokesbooks.com &
www.radfic.com
rad and lee are friends of mine, and i'm posting this to help them get the
word out about their new endeavor. i know that many folks on this list like
to support indies -- and this press definitely qualifies!
cheers,
ruth

i think the fact that ig have plugged sugarland on national tv has the
band surging! as a long time kristen hall fan, i cannot say how
fantastic it is to watch her earn national success. i am not into
country at all but have been forced to listen via the beau's southern
roots. hearing kristen in the background is so cool. chicago's us99
country station is playing their single, baby girl, over and over and
it was number one tonight. go kristen! if you check out their website
(http://www.sugarlandmusic.com), you can even catch a glimpse of
kristen's mainstream makeover. agree with the fact that she was
madeover or not, i think she looks great (the hair is a bit feathered
and rivals that of a charlie's angel's farah fawcett, but i digress).
anyway, with list traffic at a standstill i thought i'd take the chance
to give her props! happy holidays!--greg
