i think it's your email that's the problem.  i've been getting list

i usually get a few messages from this list every other day, on average. btw--they changed my platform here at netscape and now i have to check my new spam inbox in case any messages stray in there. i happened to find one in there tonight. ;-)

it wouldn't hurt that if anyone has some time, to go around to the other groups and boards that you know about to let folks know this list (and the smoe.org list) is alive and well. i mean, while the bbs  seems busy, this particular list can be received via inboxes and text-messaging (example-getting emails on cellphones). heck, there's even links in ig's official site now. that's how i found them. ;-)

while admittedly the list has slowed down, i still get e-mails every
couple days from the list.  barb, maybe there is something wrong with
your e-mail system.

i think that over time, this list has "grown up" in a way.  i mean, i
cannot say with certainty, but i think most of us have been on this list
for years now.  i don't know if we get much in the way of new members
anymore.  so the typical conversations of the young list have passed.  i
think that people here post whenever they know something that they think
is of importance.

i personally love what this list has become.  familiar names, friendly
people and just a family like community. =20

although i do miss neil's crazy april fools e-mails.

yes, i think maybe it might be on your end. i've received a bunch of ig
related mail. let's see...there was that whole "what male celebrity should
amy sleep with?" thread (my vote: abe vigoda!), and the announcement of the
new reality show "being emily saliers," which focuses on her obsession with
the ny times crossword puzzle and, of course, her marriage to whitney
houston.

every list has an ebb and flow. not much is going on right now. it always
picks up around a tour or a new release. no reason to worry.

or you could start an interesting thread...

just a day now.

isn't the official site excellent about announcing these?!  (rolls eyes).

they have been up on the un-official vortex calendar for some time
now, though.  for the most up to date ig schedule, check here first:
http://indigovortex.com/forum/calendar.php

arcata practically sold out before those of us who update the vortex
calendar (who search daily and have a few connections for new dates)
knew anything.  this whole tour is weird.

in my effort to sustain a minimul level of mental activity and not be

e
to click on it in some browsers to expand it to a readable size. i based
this on the information on lifeblood, not that the information there is
all-encompassing or totally accurate, but at least it gives an interesting

were just too difficult to filter out results.

oh, yeah, there is nothing wrong with emily's material. i'm just tired of
having two songs at each show i see be those two. they have never been
favorites and after 10 or more times seeing those songs live, i'd like to be
done. there are many emily songs i haven't heard or only heard a couple of
times that i'd much rather hear live: wood song, love will come to you, free
in you, virginia woolf, fare thee well, and leaving.

cheers,
tom m.

yeah, some days are slow around here. i do what i can to entertain myself.

it was a curiosity thing, too. i like noticing interesting things--like how
few times blood & fire was played, or trying to imagine playing closer to
fine over 900 times, or wondering why airplane was performed more times tha=
n
songs like andy or point hope--a great song in my mind.

i guess i will just feel lucky in the future to hear any song that isn't in
that top eight. i'd really like to hear more from the "performed 50-200
times" range. songs below that are either songs they tend to grow out of or
dislike, covers, or fairly young songs. songs above that range tend to be
overplayed or fairly common, so i'd like to hear some from that middle rang=
e
live in a concert sometime. chances are slim though, i'm thinking.

i'm wondering if i messed up or if fugitve was really played more than that=
.
i would have guessed it would be higher on the list.

fugitive was played both times i saw ig on the swamp ophelia tour, but i
haven't heard it in the 10 or more shows i've been to since. it seems like a
real rarity post-1995. i'd love to hear that one again.

i think amy has retired fugitive, just like blood and fire.
probably never to be performed again.

i guess i'm mostly surprised that chickenman is so low on the
list. i've been to probably about +/-30 concerts since 1997,
and i think they've played it at all but a few. (in fact, i
know they have, because i always miss it when it's not there.)

kari, did you include amy's solo shows in your tally? also,
you're awesome.

i can live with power of two and get out the map. but if i never hear
closer to fine and galileo again in concert, i wouldn't be sad. i
used to love galileo, but it's so overplayed, sorry.

i love secure yourself. and i've never heard prince of darkness, and
it's my favorite ig song ever. i'd much rather that became a concert
standard, i could never get sick of it. i could stand to hear ghost,
mystery, center stage, world falls, hand me downs, watershed, etc
more often as well.
