girls mailing list at netspace.org.]

hey y'all,

i'm packing to move soon (it's a good move...). i have been collecting
indigo girls memorabilia since the late 80s. i'm really trying to get rid of
stuff for this move. anyway, i discovered that i have duplicates of many
indigo girls memorabilia items. instead of selling everything individually,
i listed a few memorabilia "lots" on ebay. considering i paid $15-20 for
some individual items in these lots, i am selling this stuff at quite a
discount.

i don't want to get rid of my collection, but since these are duplicates, i
can justify it. i realized i had duplicates of so so so much, sometimes 3+
copies of random items.

anyway, if you are an indigo girls fan (or an amy ray solo fan too, duh)
check out my ebay auctions.

i'm not a janky autograph/memorabilia dealer (in fact, i am not selling
anything that was signed because most of my signed memorabilia was
personalized to me). i'm a true fan and i want my duplicates to go to other
true indigo girls fans. :)

thanks!

xoxo

all is right with the world again! :)  it's been just over 5 years since i last saw the girls and 12 years since they last played houston.  during the past 14 years that i have followed a&e they and their talents have aged like a fine wine.

first they looked great!  they are a couple years younger than me and they have not seemed to age much over the past 5-10 years.  amy was wearing a suit vest and tie which looked pretty nice.  they both looked healthy, happy and still jubilant and energized.  if anything, their voices and harmonizing sounded better than i have heard in the 30 or so shows i have been to.  their technical skills continue to vastly improve as well.  emily's guitar wizardry was spectacular.  amy hit all of her low notes right on, just the way i like them...kinda hits you in the center of your being and melts you, when amy drawls out "down" or "town" or the other assorted nomenclature.

the opening act was terry hendrix, a local texas folksinger and lloyd maines, father of natalie maines and producer of the dixie chicks.  lloyd is a master of the lap steel guitar, which added an interesting touch, as he sat in on many of the girl's songs last night.  julie was playing keyboards and accordian.

sully was kind of bitchy and i couldn't get a setlist, so here is my rough list.  i apologize in advance for not knowing some names of the new songs and this is not necessarily in order:

started with two new songs i don't know
power of two (audience up and singing)
ozilline
the wood song (one of my very favorites!)
fill it up again
get out the map (when did emily start playing electric bango?)
jonas & ezekiel
southland in the springtime
emily's poseidon song?
amy's bitter bug song?  these were both great!
driver education
shame on you
chickenman/bitterroot
sandy shores(?)  amy said she wrote this about her dad.  beautiful song.  everyone seemed a bit teary-eyed though.  i don't know what's up...
what are you like
land of canaan
closer to fine (extra bridge with lloyd maines solo)
galileo
and a few more...

fantastic performance!!  there was lots of banter with the audience and a&e were both laughing and having a great time.  the 1500-2000 person audience was very receptive and the environment was festive!  the crowd was on it's feet about half of the time with lots of singing.  my seat was 5th row dead center.

i don't think the night could have been any better :)
