caroline aiken received some help from friends wednesday night while recording a live album at eddie's attic in decatur. emily saliers and amy ray of the indigo girls sat in on the tune "white house blues," an aiken original which the indigos often borrowed in their prefame days. club owner eddie owens, who is also a musician, has been known to back aiken with harmony vocals on her tune "another on the rise," but on wednesday he gave up his chair to saliers. "at least i got bumped by a pro," he says.
